The Sunflower
The sunflower is one of Kathleen's favorite flowers. She started growing them when her daughter brought back seeds from Monet's Garden in Giverny, France. When we think of Kathleen and her sunflowers, we think of warmth, hope, and positivity.
Sunflowers grow tall and strong as they move their heads towards the sun, as if to soak up the warmth of Mother Nature. They produce hundreds of seeds that serve as a source of nutrients to birds and animals. Because they must be planted each year, we can't help but see the beauty in having to put time and energy to grow something glorious. There isn't a better flower to represent Kathleen's Mission.
